Get to Know Dr. Rod Messner
For over 35 years, Dr. Rod has done an amazing job at helping patients tackle fear and uncertainty in the dental office. Having the opportunity to develop long-term, multigenerational relationships with patients means the world to him, and he’s always ready to go the extra mile to ensure you get the smile you want and deserve! Keep reading below if you’d like to learn more about him.
Why Did You Want
to Become a Dentist?
Dr. Rod’s older brother was actually a dentist in the military, and he always enjoyed hearing about his escapades in the field, particularly the specifics of certain cases. As a natural-born problem-solver, he gravitated to the fascinating process of getting to the root (get it?) of a dental issue! Entering the dental field basically became a foregone conclusion as a result – and he’s been happy here ever since.
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
After completing his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Pennsylvania State University, Dr. Rod attended Temple University Kornberg School of Dentistry for his doctorate. Ever since his graduation, he’s been extremely adamant about keeping up with continuing education, which eventually culminated in obtaining a prestigious Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry. He is also a Preferred Invisalign Provider. Some of his other professional memberships include the Academy of Laser Dentistry and the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry.
Outside of the Dental
Office, What Do You
Like to Do?
Dr. Rod is very proud to have an adult daughter who is a successful interior designer and has blessed him with incredible grandbabies. He also has a son who is an avid freestyle skier. When he isn’t busy at Brodhagen Dental Care, skiing is one of his personal passions. He is a member of the National Ski Patrol and a certified ski patrol instructor to boot, which has allowed him to assist and attend to fellow skiers in unfortunate circumstances. He has many amazing skiing memories, including introducing his kids, nieces, and nephews to the sport. Hopefully, he’ll be able to do the same with his grandkids one day!
Outside of dentistry and skiing, Dr. Rod also enjoys power boating through the many lakes and waterways of Wisconsin. His favorite location is here in the Green Bay area, of course.
